Recruiting for the tanker fleet has always been our Company priority. Over 50% of BGI seafarers are working on tankers today. Taking into account the ambitious plans of the leading shipping companies to increase their tanker tonnage, we predict that this figure will grow significantly.

We have acquired extensive experience in recruiting tanker crews and have built a unique database of tanker specialists. Today a number of the BGI offices ( Novorossiysk , Riga and Nakhodka ) are dedicated to servicing our tanker clients. Other Company offices ( St.Petersburg, Odessa etc.) also play an active role in recruiting for tanker projects. Taking into account a growing demand for specialists with work experience on tankers, we are expanding our Company geography and have recently opened representative offices in Samara and Batumi.

The tonnage of tanker ships serviced by our Company ranges from 1000 to 350000 DWT. Chemical tankers (IMO l, II and III) constitute about 10 percent of our Clients ' fleet . The average age of the ships is five-eight years.

We recruit complete crews for these vessels as well as offering seafarers individual contracts of employment in multi-national crews lasting for 2-4 months (for officers) and 4-6 months (for ratings).

BGI also works with gas carriers and in the near future, BGI is planning to participate in joint LNG projects with our Clients.

Our cooperation with the shipping industry's leading companies allows us to offer our seafarers excellent contract terms, high wages, promotion possibilities, flexible work schedules, additional medical insurance and pension programs.

In view of a serious lack of tanker specialists we are also retraining dry cargo ship officers to work on tankers. This initiative has found an active support of many our partners.

In connection with a permanent growth of tanker fleet we are very interested in specialists with tanker work experience and are always ready to offer vacancies on tanker ships to officers, ratings and cadets.
